Mas Musica
Our Mission Statement is an Educational Outreach Program to provide classical
music experiences for Mexican students in the Lakeside area by offering tickets
gratis through the Chapala Municipal Government Director of Education.  
Approximately 35 students and chaperons attend each of our concerts.
For the past two years, 2009 and 2010, MAS Musica volunteers have
assisted in putting on very successful play-readings at the Lake Chapala Society,
as an entertainment and as a fund-raiser for MAS.
A number of years ago, a generous donor gave us a beautiful Baldwin grand piano,
and MAS is responsible for its maintenance.  For a nominal fee, other Lakeside
musical groups also use the piano for concerts and events.
Generous donors and patrons are an important part of our organization, as ticket sales
alone cannot possibly cover all the costs incurred in bringing fine musicians
to the Auditorio.  We greatly appreciate all donations and generosity offered to
keep this organization healthy and viable.  All Board Members are dedicated and
hardworking, and serve without remuneration.
Music Appreciation Society, A.C., is a non-profit organization that has been
bringing fine internationally recognized classical music and dance programs
to Lakeside residents for over twenty years.  MAS Ajijic offers great value for
the quality of the groups it brings to the conveniently located Auditorio de la
Ribera in La Floresta, Ajijic.  Our concert season extends from October to
March of each year.
